Samiya Sainur

Samiya is a driven final year student at the University of Hong Kong. With a deep-rooted belief in the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in our community and business practices, she is committed to fostering equitable environments in workplaces and beyond. While she often engages in academic discourse surrounding gender, her ethnically Bangladeshi background provides her with a unique perspective of intersections between gender, race and ethnic background. This diverse lens helps to empower her to approach her life and work with a broader perspective.

Alongside her academic and career pursuits, she actively incorporates her passion for fitness into her daily routine. Whether it's hitting the gym, exploring new outdoor activities, or participating in group dance classes, Samiya finds solace, inspiration, and a sense of discipline through physical activity.

Samiya has completed marketing and communications internships at several non-profits. Using her creative mindset and strategic thinking, she is eager to explore innovative ways to amplify voices and tell stories that matter. As she believes that everyone has a unique narrative to share, one of her greatest joys comes from listening and learning from others’ stories. These stories not only inspire her but also deepen her understanding of different perspectives, strengthening her commitment to fostering inclusivity and empathy in her work.

Excited to embark on a new journey, Samiya has joined FELIZ as an intern in February 2024. She is determined to leverage her passions and experiences to make a meaningful contribution at FELIZ Consulting.
